A Little Something Borrowed is our new corner of the internet where the Something Borrowed team (and occasionally one of our #VendorFriends!) shares real talk, expert tips, inspiration, and behind-the-scenes peeks into the world of events. Think of it like having a wedding planner, design guru, venue pro, and professional hype team in your back pocket—one blog post at a time.

Whether you’re planning your wedding, hosting a milestone birthday, or just love a well-thrown party, you’ll find something here to spark your creativity, simplify the process, and remind you that it can be fun.

Before we dive into the good stuff, let’s introduce the voices behind the blog:

Summer - Known for her creative spark, eye for detail, and just the right amount of bossiness, Summer has planned hundreds of events—from weddings to fundraisers to music festivals. She’s a master of flow and logistics, turning big ideas into seamless, unforgettable celebrations.

Allyson - With over 20 years of wedding coordination experience and two successful venues under her belt, Allyson is the calm in the wedding storm. She’s seen it all and solved it all—and she’s here to help you stress less and enjoy more. She’s also your biggest hype girl, never meets a stranger, and brings contagious joy to every event she touches.

Jaimie - Jaimie is the design brain behind all the pretty paper and signage that sets the tone for your day. A graphic design queen with a coffee in hand and a flair for the little details, she’s all about making things beautiful and meaningful.

Kae - We first met Kae as a Something Borrowed bride—and then we decided to keep her. From trend-spotting to charcuterie-styling, she brings her love of details and her confident leadership to every event she helps plan.

Maleah - Meet the creative behind SB's stunning silk florals and bold custom vinyl. She’s currently soaking up time with her newest little one (baby #2!), but we couldn’t leave her out—she’ll be back soon, bringing her eye for beauty and knack for timeless design to events and blog posts alike.

Sydney - You won’t see her in the group photo below because she took it. Sydney is the creative eye behind our headshots and now the newest official member of the SB team! A rare blend of artist and coding whiz, she’s here to level up our website, video content, and all things digital.

Each post will be a little different—sometimes practical, sometimes personal, always intentional. We can’t wait to share what we’ve learned (and what we’re still learning!) with you.
